God made man in His image and gave him complete authority over everything on earth. Men are challenged to take their rightful place as head and seek God with their whole heart.

“But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ and the head of woman is man and the head of Christ is God.”

The Department of Men's Ministry of Word of Faith Christian Center is dedicated to advancing the ministry's mission on a grass roots level. We provide opportunities to participate and benefit from a variety of ministry outreaches designed to gain, equip, and support men and our pastor in the spirit of love and fellowship.

Founded by Pastor Melvin Washington, The R.I.C.H. Men of God Ministry is an interdenominational men's ministry dedicated to helping men be the godly men God has called upon us to be. A godly man is a servant. This means that he is a spiritual leader who services his family and is a godly example to his wife and children, not a dominating ruler over them. The men's ministry seeks to provide men of all ages with resources to develop godly character and to equip them to influence their world for Christ.

• Provides men with a new awareness of themselves and their worth to the church.
• Provides opportunities for men to explore and become more conscious of their gifts and how to use them in service for God.
• Provides Christians a means of continuing a cherished heritage of witnessing and ministering.

Women's Ministry

Ladies of K.N.E.E.S.
(Knowledgeable, Notable, Extraordinary, Exception, Successful Women of God)

The Ladies of K.N.E.E.S. is an outreach of Word of Faith Christian Center. It was founded by Teacher Jackie Washington while kneeling during intercessory prayer. She heard one word from the Lord: knees. From that word, the Ladies of K.N.E.E.S. was birthed. She is careful to admit that the word knees does not imply that you must be on your knees to pray or receive answers to your prayers. However, Jackie has found that getting out of bed on her knees first instead of feet first has helped her to develop a habit of praying. She refers to this method as the Knee First Principle.

The Ladies of K.N.E.E.S. is designed to help women commit to prayer by encouraging them to be a part of the K.N.E.E.S. Prayer Team. The prayer team members saturate every meeting with prayer, accept prayer assignments, and are willing to flow and go with the vision as she is led by the Spirit of God.

On April 9, 2004, a word of knowledge came to Teacher Washington saying, “…initiate prayer structure in the ministry.” Then she began to implement this structure:

• Monthly prayer assignments for those in high authority such as president, governors, mayors, etc.
• Twelve-hour prayer for the military, families, children, the unsaved
• Special prayer meetings
• Conferences: prayer pajama party, prayer walks, Praying women Holy Ghost meeting
• Tapes and books
• Fasting

Jackie is relentless in encouraging women to remember, "The earnest, heartfelt, continued prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available dynamic in its working."
