William Long WhitesellWilliam Long Whitesell was born in Huntsville, Alabama, moved to Valdosta in 1976, graduated from Valdosta High School in 1993, and received his B.A. in 1996 from Presbyterian College.  Graduating with his Doctorate of Jurisprudence from Florida State University in 2000, he was admitted to the Georgia Bar and Florida Bar in 2001.  William L. Whitesell served as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Southern Judicial Circuit of Georgia before accepting a position at Young, Thagard, Hoffman, and Smith, L.L.P., where he practiced insurance defense law, criminal law, and real estate law for three years before leaving to open his own firm, William Long Whitesell, L.L.C., where he broadened his practice to what it is today.

In addition to practicing law, Mr. Whitesell serves on the Board of Directors for the Boy Scouts of America, Alapaha Area Council; the Board of Directors for the Humane Society of Valdosta/Lowndes County; and serves on the Board of Directors as a Past President of the Azalea City Kiwanis Club.

Jack Boylan, M.S.Jack Boylan, M.S., a retired Social Security hearing officer, is the lead consultant for the Social Security practice in the law firm of William Long Whitesell, L.L.C.  Mr. Boylan served our country as a Navy Hospital Corpsman, and later received a B.S. from the school of business and his Masters of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling from Florida State University.  Mr. Boylan worked for over thirty years handling all types of Social Security disability claims.  He was a Social Security disability hearing officer in Georgia for the last twenty-five years and served in the South Georgia area for the last fifteen years.  He knows the Social Security process from the ground up and has been successfully representing our clients since his retirement in September 2009.

Jessica B. HughesJessica B. Hughes originally moved to Valdosta in 1985, graduating from Lowndes High School in 1997.  In 1998, she moved to Atlanta where she worked as an office manager for four years before moving to Los Angeles, where she worked for a non-profit organization.  Upon resettling in Valdosta, Ms. Hughes began working as an administrative assistant and paralegal for William Long Whitesell, L.L.C. in July of 2006.
