Suresh Alankar, MD, F.A.C.S.
Dr. Alankar is from India and completed General Surgery Residency at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit. He completed a fellowship in Vascular Surgery from the Michael E. DeBakey Department of Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. He is Board Certified in General Surgery and Vascular Surgery. He has a special interest in endovascular treatment of peripheral vascular disease including angioplasty, stent placement, atherectomy and laser angioplasty, and stent graft repair of abdominal and thoracic aortic aneurysms. He is also interested in thoraco-abdominal aneurysms, carotid disease and venous surgery. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Roy G. Bowling, MD
Dr. Bowling is a Kentucky native and a graduate of the University of Louisville, School of Medicine. He also completed his General Surgery Residency and Thoracic Surgery Fellowship at the University of Louisville. His interests include lung and esophageal malignancies, hyperhidrosis and pectus deformities of the chest wall. He has extensive experience in performing VATS lobectomies, VAT dorsal sympathectomies and pectus excavatum repairs. He is board certified in Thoracic Surgery. He is a member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons and the Southern Thoracic Surgical Association.
Jonathan D. Kraut, MD
Dr. Kraut is a native of Wilmington, Delaware. He received his medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in the West Indies. Dr. Kraut completed his general surgery residency at Christiana Care Health System in Newark, Delaware. He completed his Cardiothoracic Surgery Fellowship at Saint Luke’s Hospital/Mid-American Heart and Lung Institute of Kansas City Missouri. He has special interests in VATS sympathectomy, VATS lobectomy, minimally invasive and esophageal surgeries. Dr. Kraut has been published in The Journal of International College of Surgeons, The American Surgeon, and The Journal of Burn Care and Rehabilitation.
David A. Lipski, MD, F.A.C.S.
Dr. Lipski is a native of Wisconsin. He completed his general surgery residency at the University of Louisville and a fellowship in vascular surgery at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. He is registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers as a vascular technologist. His interests include operations for the prevention and treatment of stroke, leg bypass for treatment of exercise-associated leg pain and gangrene, arterial aneurysms, and hemodialysis access. He has a special interest in the treatment of venous disorders, including venous ulcers, varicose veins, and spider veins. He is board certified by the American Board of Surgery in Vascular Surgery.
Stephen B. Self, MD, F.A.C.S.
Dr. Self is a native of Hopkinsville, KY. After graduating with honors from Vanderbilt University, he attended the University of Louisville for medical school and general surgery residency. He completed a vascular surgery fellowship at the University of Florida and additional training in minimally invasive endovascular techniques. Dr. Self was among the first vascular surgeons in Kentucky to perform vascular angioplasty and stenting as well as endovascular aneurysm repair. He continues to be a leader in evaluating and applying new surgical and endovascular techniques. He is board-certified in vascular surgery. He is a Fellow in the American College of Surgeons and the Society of Vascular Surgery.
Andrea Yancey, MD
Dr. Yancey is a native of Jackson, Tennessee. She received her medical degree from the University of Tennessee in Memphis and her residency at the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga. Dr. Yancey completed her fellowship in Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY. She graduated in the top 5% of her class with many awards including a University Academic Honors Scholarship. Dr. Yancey has special interests in the endovascular as well as open repair of aortic disease, carotid/cereberal vascular disease and renal vascular hypertension. She has been published in the Journal of Trauma, Southern Association for Vascular Surgery and Annals of Surgery. She is a member of the American College of Surgeons, Society for Vascular Utrasound and the Southeastern Surgical Congress.
Lisa J. Clark, RN, BSN
Lisa is a native of Louisville, KY. She earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Spalding University in Louisville, KY. She is a clinical associate for the practice, and coordinates in-patient care and consultation, assists physicians at the downtown hospitals and is a resource for patients, family members, hospital staff, and other physicians. She is a member of the Kentucky Nurses Association, American Nursing Association, National Stroke Association, and Society of Vascular Nurses.
Peggy Murphy, RN, BSN
Peggy is a native of Louisville, KY. She earned her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Spalding University in Louisville, KY. She assists the physicians in completing hospital rounds on a daily basis along with distribution and work-up of inpatient consultations. She is a liaison between referring physicians, hospital staff, patients and their families and assists with leadership in clinical trials. She is a board member of the Senior Citizens East Organization.
Teresa M. Browning, MSN, ARNP, FNP
Teresa is a native of Bowling Green, KY. She received her Bachelor or Science in nursing from Spalding University in Louisville, KY. She completed her Master of Science in Nursing and Family Nurse Practitioner at Spalding University, Louisville, KY. She will be holding office in collaboration with the physicians on a regular basis. She is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, Kentucky Coalition of Nurse Practitioners, Sigma Theta Tau, and the Midwest Nursing Research Society.
Benita Crowson RT (R), R.D.M.S
Benita is a native of Owensboro, KY. She is a graduate of the Daviess County Hospital School of Radiologic Technology. She began her career in ultrasound in 1978 and earned the R.D.M.S. (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) credential through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers. Benita also has an Associate Degree of Science from the Owensboro Community College.
David C. Downs, RVT
David is a native of Bardstown, KY. He earned an Associates Degree in Sonography from Saint Catherine College in Springfield, KY. He received his Registered Vascular Technologist credentials through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography. He is currently on the Saint Catherine College Sonography Advisory Board. He is a member of the Society of Vascular Technologist and Kentucky Vascular Society.
Steve Sellers, RVT, R.V.S., C.C.T.
Steve is a native of West Virginia but has traveled and lived extensively throughout the United States as well as Europe, as a military dependant. He earned a Bachelor of Biblical Literature degree from Ozark Christian College, Joplin, Missouri in 1982. From June of 1989 to March 2001, Steve worked in a local hospital in the Noninvasive Vascular Laboratory, where for the last four years he served as the Technical Manager. Steve received his R.V.S. (Registered Vascular Specialist) in 1991 through Cardiovascular Credentialing International and his R.V.T. (Registered Vascular Technologist) in 1995 through American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography. Steve is an active member of the Society for Vascular Ultrasound (SVU).
