Areas of Practice

Indianapolis bankruptcy lawyer, Indianapolis family law

My practice primarily focuses on the areas of family law and bankruptcy. My primary practice areas are emotionally charged and can seem overwhelming to the clients. It is my goal to be exceptionally accessible to all of my clients. I pride myself on being a first-rate listener and guiding my clients through all their legal journeys. I take an aggressive, assertive, realistic approach with all my clients, while allowing my clients to remain in control of the direction of their case.

Bankruptcy

I represent clients in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy proceedings. Whether you have been the victim of job loss, a catastrophic medical emergency or simply made some poor financial decisions, I can guide you through the bankruptcy process. I also assist clients who are not eligible for bankruptcy protection or those who do not want to file bankruptcy for personal reasons but are still struggling financially. If you find yourself in this situation, I will work to resolve your financial problems by settling your debts for less than the full balance owed.

I understand all too well the emotional toll financial difficulties can exact on a person. I feel it is important for my clients to get beyond being angry about their economic hardships and instead focus on how to rebuild their financial lives after the resolution of the monetary problems.

Family Law

I represent clients with all types of family law issues, including divorce, custody and parenting time (“visitation”) disputes/modifications, protective orders, child support (including educational support), contempt actions, spousal maintenance, adoptions, CHINS, termination of parental rights, paternity, grandparent visitation, domestic partnership agreements, and guardianships.

As a child of a divorced family, I am all too familiar with the flood of emotions associated with family law cases. I have seen, on both a personal and professional level, the negative impact a difficult divorce can have on children. Thus, I work hard to make sure my clients put the emotional needs of their children at the top of the priority list.

I recommend that all family law clients with children visit the website www.uptoparents.org. This site is full of useful information and well worth the time it takes to work through the services offered. Your children will benefit from the knowledge and skills you will undoubtedly gain by visiting this site.
