Program Directors

• Mrs. Sarah Norris has a B.S. in Early Childhood Development from the University of North Carolina, Greensboro. She has completed several courses towards her Masters Degree, obtained Credentials 1 and 2, and has 25+ years experience in the child care industry.
   
• Mrs. Marie Parker has an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education and has Administration 1 and 2, and 25+ years experience in the child care industry.
  
  
• Ms. Meg Coakley has her BS in Elementary Education from New England College, New Hampshire. She has completed credentials 1 and 2 and has over 15 years experience working with children and families.

Programs

Infants and Toddlers Full Time Care
Total Child Care provides a safe and nurturing environment for infants and toddlers (starting at 6 weeks) to learn and explore. Our staff works individually with children on their developmental skills. We provide bibs, wipes, lunch and two snacks once the child is on table foods.

Full Time Pre-K Program – Helps your four-year old to prepare now to meet the state standards for kindergarten.
Total Child Care provides an environment for four-year olds that teach both cognitive and social skills through appropriate play activities. The curriculum teaches readiness skills, skills for reading and math, as well as how to handle emotions and respect for self and others (using the Second Step curriculum). Our curriculum is enhanced with field trips and special parent activities.

Two-Year Old Full Time Program
Total Child Care offers a program that helps two-year olds with language, social and physical skills through appropriate activities which are fun and creative. Discovery and exploration are key factors during this stage of childhood. School and home work together with potty training during this year.

Three-Year Old Full Time Program
Total Child Care offers a quality pre-school program for three-year olds that promote wholesome growth physically, mentally, socially and emotionally. Independence and decision making are encouraged through developmentally appropriate play, which is a child's work. Our curriculum is enhanced with special field trips and parent events. A nutritious lunch and two snacks are served daily.

After School Program Summer Camp
Total Child Care offers an after school program with both educational and fun activities. Homework time is included with teacher guidance as well as pick-up from schools in northern end of the county. Our summer program includes swimming, gymnastics, field trips, lunch and two snacks.
