Our Staff

Our Founder

Mark Grohmann attended Rutgers University in New Jersey and had a business management background. Upon acquiring Tiny Tots in 1993, he began a program of improvement for Tiny Tots, which involved enrolling Tiny Tots in the Quality Assurance Program, sponsored by the Children's Services Council of Palm Beach County. This led to the accreditation of our center by NAEYC.

In addition to his quality improvements at Tiny Tots, Mark was active in community efforts to improve the preschool system in Palm Beach County. He was a member of Palm Beach County's Director Credentialing Committee, which developed the first state approved credentialing program in Palm Beach County for preschool directors. He was a founding board member of the Palm Beach County School Readiness Coalition, which is part of a state wide effort to insure that when children enter kindergarten they are ready to learn.

In his capacity as a board member of the coalition he was a member of a study group, sponsored by the MacArthur Foundation, which toured the highly praised preschool system in France to seek lessons for Florida's preschool system. Mark was also a board member of Prime Time, dedicated to improving the out of school care for elementary and middle school students in Palm Beach County; of FACCM, The Florida Association for Child Care Management; and of the Palm Beach County Director's Association.

Mark Grohmann passed away in October of 2007; however, his legacy of devotion to children, their development, and their education live on in the school that he founded, Tiny Tots.
