How to obtain a credit report:

 

1. Choose a credit reporting company.

2. Call the toll-free number until you get an answer. Be patient.

3. You will receive instructions about how to apply for a credit report. Some agencies provide a website for information, as well.

4. Follow those instructions. Do not send cash for the fee, send only a bank certified check or money order.

5. The time will vary, but if you have followed the instructions given by the agency, you shoukd receive your complete credit report in approximately teo weeks.
