Our Doctor

Dr. John M. Rust is a graduate of Oklahoma State University 1958 and started Summer Grove Animal Hospital right after graduating.

Dr. Rust was honored by the Louisiana Veterinary Medical Association as “Veterinary of the Year” for 2003.

Our Staff-The Heart of Our Practice

Our competent, caring and experienced staff has a keen sense of service and we take great pride in all of them.

Jackie Higdon is our Lead Technician and has been with Summer Grove Animal Hospital for 12 years. Jackie is competent in all areas of the practice.

Brenda Cage has been with Summer Grove Animal Hospital for the better part of 3 years. Brenda is capable in all areas of our services.

Shera McCoy serves part time as our Receptionist and is a real pleasure to work with.
