Dentistry
Care of teeth and gums is one of the most neglected areas of health care. We use an ultrasonic instrument, the same as most dentists, for scaling tartar from the teeth. We follow this with a polisher and finally apply a fluoride treatment.
Surgery
We have separate rooms to prepare patients for surgery outside the operating room. We use inhalation gas anesthesia as well as a variety of injectable products for short term procedures. We do all the routine surgeries including spays, neuters, etc., as well as specialized procedures and cosmetic surgeries. For bone surgeries we maintain a large inventory of
stainless steel pins, plates, screws and wire, making repair of all types of fractures possible.
X-ray
Our X-ray equipment has a large capacity. Evaluation of the abdomen, chest and bone structure is an important feature of diagnosis. We routinely do Barium series for studies of the gastrointestinal tract. We use all recommended safety measures when taking X-rays.
Nutrition
Hill's Pet Food Co. has produced the “Cadillac” of pet foods for many years.
They produce foods for normal maintenance of all ages of pets as well as
specialized diets for disease conditions. We stock a supply of these foods and have their full line available within a few days.
Exam Rooms
Our two exam rooms are equipped for thorough general exams, including opthalogy, otoscopic and parasitic. Each set of immunizations is accompanied by an examination.
Dispensary
We stock a wide assortment of products for the maintenance of your pet's health. The Board animals are fed Hill's Science Diet.
Pharmacy
We maintain extensive inventory of veterinary products for dispensing. Frequent use is made of regular pharmacies and 
compounding pharmacies for special medications.
Laboratory
Our laboratory is equipped with a computerized IDEXX BLOOD ANALYZER system that gives us a detailed evaluation of all major organs plus a complete blood picture. For tissue analysis and special tests we have the services of Louisiana & Texas Veterinary Medical Laboratories.
