About Us…

Southern Water Conditioning was founded July 26th, 1965 by Neill and Shirley Roberts.

Southern is very concerned about water pollutants and carries a line of water condition, filter, and odor removing equipment at help assist the public in removing such undesirable and harsh minerals from our home and business water supplies.

As a result, people today are able to greatly improve their water supply by reducing the problems that harsh minerals could cause coming from either their individually owned private wells or from their city water supply (which generally has its source from a nearby river).

We are certified by the Water Quality Association (WQA). In addition, we have on our staff fully trained Certified Water Specialist who are experienced technicians for helping customers.

Also, we have a licensed North Carolina plumber (License No. 13107P), plus a Journeyman plumber.

Southern also does free mineral content testing of drinking water samples.

Southern Water Conditioning

Many water supplies contain hardness minerals, which is limestone. These minerals form a scale and create problems in water heaters, washing machines, dishwashers, coffee makers, humidifiers, and plumbing systems, not to mention what problems they may be causing on or to the inside of our bodies.

Our modern and more efficient water conditioning system removes calcium and magnesium from your water supply by filtering it through a resin-softening medium. Salt is used periodically to revitalize the resin to provide soft water for your daily needs. The control for this system is designed and engineered to give you reliable operation and conserve the water and salt required in the regeneration process.

Take a close look at all of the advantages shown below and you'll find that conditioned water makes a refreshing difference in your life and will save you money now and in the years ahead.

Water Conditioning Advantages & Benefits

Laundry

Hard water impairs the cleansing strength of detergents and soaps. Conditioned water not only delivers greater washing power, but it will save up to 70% on the amount of soap needed. Your clothes will last longer, come out fresher and softer, and stay brighter. And don't forget that conditioned water protects your washing machine at the same time.

Kitchen

Tired of streaks and spots on glassware and dishes? Conditioned water decreases the problem, and helps your dishwasher last longer. Protects your hands at the same time.

Bathroom

Eliminate "soap curd" build-up on your bathtub, wall tile, fixtures, and even your skin. Revive your hair color and restore the radiance and manageability. You'll come away from your shower more relaxed and refreshed than ever before. Say good-bye to razor burn. Both your skin and blades will last longer.

Utility Room

Conditioned water adds longer life to your water heater and general plumbing by minimizing the scale buildup created by hard water minerals. Over a period of time, scale will clog your pipes and corrode the valves in your water-using appliances. Conditioned water is also easier to heat because of the absence of scale buildup, thereby using less energy and saving you money.
