Our First Visit
FREE INITIAL CONSULTATION: The initial consultation is typically conducted by phone. You'll have some questions for us and we'll ask you some questions too, to help inspire your best ideas—and we'll probably give you a few suggestions of our own. Following our discussion about your project, we will provide you with a ‘ballpark’ cost estimate to help you determine the budget range for your desired project.
We’ll review the basic steps and outline the parameters necessary to get your project to the next phase.
Pre-Construction Agreement: From the beginning, you will play an integral role in the design process and in selection of materials and products. We schedule an on site consultation to meet with you and review your project in more detail. We’ll look at your house’s design, property, and other related items; take photos and help you visualize the possibilities, including informal drawings, materials and products we might use. This meeting typically lasts about one hour.
Based on what we discuss at the on site consultation, we will initiate the design process which typically includes a general outline for your project, a working budget, design meetings, writing specifications, scheduling subcontractor site visits, gathering subcontractor bids, showroom visits, timelines, etc. The design process can take as little as a few days to a few weeks, but largely depends on the project's complexity and the customer’s availability and design meetings.
Our fee for this phase ranges between five and eight percent of the total estimated budget. A deposit is due at signing and balance at completion of this phase. At the conclusion of this phase, you will have a detailed, easy to understand overview of your project including firm pricing for each component as well as schedule information. Your project is now ready to begin the next phase -- construction.
Southeast Construction strives to begin your project on time and stick as closely as possible to the schedule. You'll hear from us regularly to keep you updated on the progress of your work. We have a professional staff of experienced personnel and we work with a specially selected team of subcontractors. As much as possible, we purchase goods and materials from local suppliers -- and we only purchase from suppliers who guarantee their products.
Whether you're remodeling a kitchen or bath, building a deck, or creating an entire new addition to your home, you'll see the highest level of craftsmanship in our work. We don’t cut corners to save time or money -- a quality that we’ve built our reputation upon.
