Satori Martial Arts Center is dedicated to the development of our children. Our youth program lays the ground work and instills the values necessary for your child to succeed as a teenager and as an adult. Promoting the time honored principles of respect, discipline, perseverance, self control, and integrity, our martial arts program is the template in which your child will develop themselves into a successful adult, armed with the tools to handle life's challenges.
Our children's program is divided by age and experience level, giving each child the individual attention they need and allows for unlimited attendance. Each Instructor knows that the information in the curriculum needs to be delivered in a way that makes the learning both challenging and fun. With this winning combination, our program is designed to empower each student on every level.

As a component of Satori's Character Development program, students are taught how to be a leader and role model in their classes.
“When I was searching for a Dojo for my son Michael, I was completely disgusted with the high pressure, looks only, belt factories in our surrounding area. Well, I saved the best for last. All of you are wonderful, and Michael loves you already. As a mother, wife and teacher, I have spent the last 12 years doing for others. Taking advantage of your family discount, I feel like I am doing for me, my family and a fabulous extended family — a wonderful combination of service to others and self. At the risk of sounding too sappy, I thank you from my heart, my soul and every happily sore muscle in my body.”

“Before enrolling in Satori's Karate and Character Development Program, my son could not do any situps and his stamina was very low. After only six weeks, he can now do 25 sit-ups with little trouble! He also is more agile and can engage in physical activities for longer periods. In a short time, Satori has had wonderful effects on my son. My wife and I especially appreciate the consistent respect and discipline exhibited by all Satori staff. We investigated several Martial Arts schools before finding Satori, and we are glad we found you!”

At Satori Martial Arts, children learn the importance of discipline, hard work
and focus

At Satori, our initial emphasis is on providing your child with the safest environment possible. From our matted floors to the equipment that is used in training, safety is a major priority. Each staff Instructor comes to you with a minimum of ten years of training and undergoes private training on a weekly basis on teaching, course curriculum presentation, and other aspects of developing themselves as an Instructor. Each Instructor is a licensed massage therapist which brings an extensive knowledge of how the human body works and how to train safely, reducing the risk of injury. Each staff Instructor is first aid certified through the Red Cross and maintains this status on an annual basis.
In addition to physical skills, the Satori Karate and Character Development Program for Children teaches:
- Karate Begins and Ends with Courtesy
- Actions Have Consequences
- We Lead by Example
- We are Responsible
- Karate is used for Self Defense
- Discipline, Integrity, Respect, Perseverance

All Satori Instructors have a minimum of ten years experience in various martial arts and are a part of an on-going Instructors Training Program. In addition to daily training sessions, all Satori Instructors participate in a weekly Instructor Training Class designed to increase their effectiveness on curriculum presentation, dynamic speaking, safety and skills development. In addition, our instructors maintain a physical training regimen that places them in the top 2% of all physical fitness standards for all high performance military and SWAT agencies throughout the world.
All Instructors are CPR certified and massage certified, raising our level of standards and offering each student a higher level of safety. All Satori Instructors work very hard to bring the highest level of martial arts training available to all our students.Satori Instructors view the opportunity to teach the children in our community as an investment in the future. Satori's martial arts curriculum is used as a means to instill universal principles and values as they pertain to character development, discipline, self respect and respect for others — along with concentration and focus, which has been proven to improve study habits and school grades. Satori Martial Arts Center has built confidence, increased discipline, and raised the standard of physical fitness in our youth for the past sixteen years. Our emphasis on Karate being an art, not a sport, teaches your child about the important components of building character and prepares them to handle life's challenges.
