Professor Ancho is a 10th Dan in Danzan Ryu JuJitsu.
Shihan Pete Pukish, owner and Chief Instructor of Satori Martial Arts & Healing Center, was inducted into the Martial Arts Hall of Fame in 2003 - an honor bestowed upon a single martial artist each year after unanimous consensus of the previously inducted Hall of Fame members. Other recent awards include the "2001 Karate Instructor of the Year" by the American Budokai Society and the "2002 Pinnacle Award". The Pinnacle Award is given to individuals "who have dedicated themselves to and have attained a level of proficiency in the three highest callings of Teacher, Healer and Warrior". Satori Martial Arts & Healing Center was inducted into the American Budokai Society and Shihan Pukish was made a state representative of the organization in Georgia in 2001.
Shihan Pukish holds ranks in multiple systems. The title Shihan means “Teacher of Teachers.” He also holds the title of Sifu in Jing Shen Jie Fang Kuntao, a system taught only to advanced practitioners at his dojo.
Additional professional responsibilities include serving as the State Director of the American Budokai International with responsibilities that cover all schools teaching Shuri Ryu Karate Do and Shinto Yoshin Kai Jiu Jitsu in Georgia. He also serves as the Chief Technical Advisor of the American Budokai International.
Pukish trains highly skilled law enforcement, military personnel and private security agents. Satori Defensive Tactics and Consultants recently expanded by opening a location in Trinidad, Tobago, for the purpose of providing corporations, law enforcement agencies and security agencies with consultative services and Defensive Tactics Instruction. Kevin Kent, a Satori San Dan, heads the Trinidad location. Mr. Kent began training privately with Shihan Pukish in 1996. He has served with many law enforcement agencies as a SWAT Team Leader, member of the Interstate Criminal Enforcement (ICE) and founder of the K9 Drug Interdiction for Roswell Police Force and Dawson County, Georgia.
Balancing the combative aspects of martial arts, Satori serves as a hub in the education and practice of the healing arts. Satori is the host of on-going Okazaki Restorative Massage classes and training seminars. A number of healing practitioners use Satori as a resource and supplement to their personal practice. Shihan Pukish has a diversified background in the healing arts (see the Massage page of this website for more specifics) and is currently developing a continuing education healing curriculum that will be available to select individuals.

Satori Martial Arts Center provides its’ students with a facility above and beyond anything you will ever experience at another martial arts school.
