Class Descriptions
Step: Uses a step for an upbeat and thorough cardiovascular workout set to music. Abdominal toning is included.Kickboxing: An intense cardio aerobic class that utilizes the fundamentals of boxing and kickboxing. Beginning to advanced modifications will be offered.
Yoga: Designed to enhance physical, emotional and mental health, this class offers physical exercises to facilitate flexibility, strength, breathing and relaxation.
Ashtanga Yoga: This method of yoga involves synchronizing the breath with progressive series of postures-a process producing intense internal heat and a profuse, purifying sweat that detoxifies muscles and organs. The result is improved circulation, a light and strong body, and a calm mind.
Cardio/Sculpt: Creativity is the key to this well -rounded cardiovascular and strength training workout. This class utilizes a variety of cardio workouts and weight resistance equipment to get you fit. You will alternate between high-energy floor and step aerobic cardio intervals paired with body sculpting and toning exercise. Each muscle group is worked using a variety of equipment (stability balls, tubes, dumbbells, Bosu, etc.) to sculpt the perfect shape for you while melting away calories.
Cycle: Uses a stationary bike to give you the ultimate indoor Biking workout. Your cycle instructor will assist you with your equipment and beginning to advanced modifications.
Silver Sneakers I: Muscular Strength and Range of Movement. Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement, and activity for daily living skills. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing, and a ball are offered for resistance. A chair is used for seated and/or standing support.
Silver Sneakers II: Cardio Circuit. Combine fun with fitness to increase your cardiovascular and muscular endurance power with a standing circuit workout. Upper body strength work with hand weights, elastic tubing, and a ball is alternated with non-impact aerobic choreography. A chair is offered for support, stretching, and relaxation exercises.
Silver Stretch: A flexible strength class created for seniors in which you use the chair in addition to elastic tubing and a rubber ball.
Cardio/Core: Invigorate your workout schedule with something different! The first half of class focuses on a thorough cardiovascular workout using a variety of cardio styles. The second half is completely dedicated to strengthening your core muscles (abs and back). Beginner to advanced modifications will be shown.
