Intra Oral Camera

Intra Oral Camera

This is a tiny camera with a fiber optic light source small enough to be placed within the mouth. This camera allows images of your teeth to be displayed on a computer monitor. Some of the conditions we can see with an intra oral camera that are difficult to see with the naked eye include various types of oral lesions, broken fillings, cracked teeth and cavities in areas that are difficult to see and reach. Our patients can better understand the diagnosis and proposed treatment when they can see it themselves.

Digital Radiographs

Cosmetic and restorative dentistry

Digital radiographs (X-rays) allow us to take films with up to 95 percent less radiation than conventional X-rays. Sensors, instead of film, are placed in the patient’s mouth and after exposure, the image appears on a computer screen in just seconds. Instead of holding up small films that are hard to see, Dr. Rogers or Dr. Gustafson can look at the images on a computer screen together with the patient. The image can be enlarged for easy viewing if needed. This technology is not only safer to our patients but also allows them to understand the diagnosis.

Cosmetic and Restorative Dentistry

It’s great news that the incidents of tooth decay have significantly diminished over the years due to the use of fluorides and an increase in patient awareness.  However, teeth are still susceptible to decay, infection, and breakage and sometimes need to be restored back to health.  Through improved techniques and modern technology, we are now able to offer more options for restoring a tooth back to its normal shape, appearance and function. We offer composite fillings, veneers, crowns, bridges and implant crowns.

Should your teeth ever require a restorative treatment, you can rest assured that we will always discuss the available options and recommend the most comfortable and least invasive treatment.  Providing you with excellent care is our No. 1 priority when creating your beautiful smile.

Invisalign®

Invisalign is the invisible way to straighten teeth without braces

Invisalign is the invisible way to straighten teeth without braces. Invisalign uses a series of clear, removable aligners to gradually straighten teeth, without metal or wires. Invisalign uses 3-D computer imaging technology to depict the complete treatment plan from the initial position to the final desired position. Each “aligner” moves teeth incrementally and is worn for about two weeks, then replaced by the next in the series until the final position is achieved. Invisalign allows you to view your own virtual treatment plan before you start—so you can see how your straight teeth will look when your treatment is complete.

Early Periodontal Disease Treatments

Periodontal disease is a common disease affecting 75 percent of all Americans. It affects the gums and supporting bone around the teeth. Left untreated, it results in eventual tooth loss. Because early gum disease is painless, patients are often unaware that there is a problem. For this reason, regular dental visits are essential for the early diagnosis and treatment of gum disease.
