SV Wind Walker

Quality WaterWorks Inc. started making watermakers in 1997. The first unit was installed aboard the owners boat, a Morgan 415 OI, to provide fresh water while crusing the Bahama Islands. The unit performed without failure for seven cruising seasons. The unit was pickled during the off seasons. The membrane experienced only a 20% decrease in permeate production over the seven years.
While cruising the Bahama Out Islands, where fresh water is not available, you meet alot of other cruising boats with watermakers. The main complaint we heard was that the units were complicated and hard to operate, maintain and that the replacement parts were proprietary and very expensive. All of our watermaker replacement parts can be obtained over the counter or on-line.
Quality WaterWorks Inc. produces a watermakers with and without automatic features and will custom design a unit to fit your freshwater needs. Our units are simple in design, operation and are economical and trouble free. Since we sold our first unit, we have had no reported failures, warranty claims or request for repair parts. I don't believe you will find any of the other manufacturers that can make this claim. We are available 24/7 via phone for installation and operational questions.
Note: The first watermaker is still in service. The high pressure pump seals were replaced along with a new membrane and installed on board a Gulfstar 44 Motor Yacht.

The Automatic Freshwater Flush Module will automatically flush your watermaker on a timed basis while you are away from the boat for short periods of time. The timer and valve are powered by 12 volts and can be programmed to flush as little as 1 minute per week. Timer has a 5 year battery so that programs are maintained. This module can be added to any watermaker system.
The TDS Monitor and Diverter will automatically monitor the product water from the watermaker and based on the set TDS value will either direct the water to the tank or overboard. Available in 12 volt DC or 120 volt AC.
This is a Automatic WaterMaker Control system that can be configured to operate any manual AC, DC or engine driven unit. This unit is PLC Based and all replacement components (if needed) can be purchased over the counter or on-line.
A push of the start button will start the booster pump, upon reaching desired booster pressure , the high pressure pump will start and the TDS monitor/Diverter will measure the quality of the freshwater being made and direct it to the storage tank once desired quality set point is met (the high pressure pump won't start if prefilters are dirty or it will stop if filters become dirty during operation) . The WaterMaking mode will continue until the stop button is pushed of the Storage tank is full (optional float switch required for this feature). When enough water has been made, simply push the stop button. It is recommended that all watermakers be flushed with fresh water after each watermaking session. The unit is flushed by simply pushing the flush button. The controller will flush the High pressure pump, membrane and control system, Half-way through the flush cycle the controller will flush the pre-filters, booster pump and sea strainer. The unit is now ready for the next watermaking session. A User programmable Automatic flush module is included with the system for unattended system flushing instead of membrane Pickling. There is also a preservative addition mode incorporated into the design Contact qwwinc@alltel.net for more information.
