Extended Warranty
WHAT IS COVERED:
Upon payment of this agreement, Professional Auto Engines will make necessary repairs to the following components included in the specific coverage selected. Replacement of any part may be made with new parts, remanufactured parts, or with parts (like kind and quality at time of breakdown. Professional Auto Engines warrants to the original purchaser that it will replace or repair at remanufacturer's sole option any long block engine supplied by the remanufacturer which is defective in material, or workmanship, for the term of this warranty.
ENGINE: All internal lubricated parts including pistons, pins and connecting rods and bearings, crankshaft and main bearings; camshaft, followers and cam bearings; valves, valve springs, valve guides, and valve stem seals; lifters, timing gears, timing chain, timing tensioners, and oil pump. NOTE: Engine block and cylinder heads and cylinder barrels are covered only if damaged by the failure of the internal lubricated part.
SEALS AND GASKETS: All seals and gaskets relating to engine are covered unless the failure is a result of overheating or lack of fluid or lubrication.
PRODUCTS REPLACED UNDER WARRANTY: Products replaced under warranty carry the remainder of the original warranty term.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
To keep the CONTRACT valid, YOU must have YOUR VEHICLE serviced as recommended by the VEHICLE manufacturer. If requested, proof of required service including verifiable receipts showing date and mileage of the VEHICLE at the time of service must be presented in order to have repairs begun on YOUR VEHICLE. After 500 mile break in period and oil change service within 500 miles of the recommended interval shall be considered compliance under the terms of this CONTRACT. Upon customary and reasonable notice of the occurrence of a MECHANICAL BREAKDOWN or FAILURE, YOU shall protect the VEHICLE from further damage, whether or not such mechanical breakdown or failure is covered by the CONTRACT. Any operation of the VEHICLE that results in further damage, related to the original MECHANICAL BREAKDOWN or FAILURE shall be considered YOUR failure to protect the VEHICLE and shall not be covered under this CONTRACT. YOU are responsible for making sure the oil warning light/gauge and the temperature warning light/gauge are functioning before driving the vehicle. YOU are required to safely pull YOUR VEHICLE off the road and shut off the engine immediately when either of these lights/gauges indicates a problem. YOU may be required to supply Professional Auto Engines with all maintenance records for service performed on the VEHICLE when the maintenance involved relates to the specific FAILURE or to verify odometer operation.
WHAT IS NOT COVERED:
This extended warranty agreement will cover only those items listed under "WHAT IS COVERED", and does not cover the following:
- Misuse, maintenance neglect, abuse, vandalism, abnormal operation or accidents.
- Improper break in or overspeeding.
- Environmental conditions, overheating or freeze cracks;
- Burned, scored, or melted pistons;
- Lack of lubricants or fluids;
- Foreign material in combustion chamber or oil pan;
- Failures to components or parts not furnished by the remanufacturer or otherwise approved by the remanufacturer for installation or components or parts unsuitable for use with a warranted engine or part;
- Abnormal wear or tear or use of an engine or part for purposes other than for which it was originally intended or a change from original application;
- Damage to pistons or other engine components from detonation or pre-ignition;
- Crankshaft thrust surface worn due to defective or improperly installed clutch torque converter or motor mounts;
- Internal modification with aftermarket performance parts;
- Applications using propane, I.p.g. or turbo chargers are excluded under this warranty.
- Over fueling or other dilution of lube oil.
This extended warranty does not cover or provide payment or reimbursement for the following consequential damages:
- Replacement oil, antifreeze, fluids or other substances.
- Towing charges, vehicle rental or other substitute transportation.
- Gaskets or other parts or items associated with but not included with warranted engine and/or parts.
- Transportation charges, lodging, and meals.
- Loss of time, income, sales or profits.
- Loss of use of vehicle.
- Telephone calls or communication expense.
- Lift, dock or storage fees.
- Tune-ups or replacement of belts, hoses or maintenance items.
- Routine, regularly required maintenance.
- Injury or death to persons or damage or destruction of property.
- Consequential or incidental damages.
TRANSFER OF WARRANTY: In the event you sell the covered vehicle this extended warranty agreement shall terminate. You may apply for a transfer to the new owner. Submit immediately (within fifteen (15) days of the change in ownership) to Professional Auto Engines along with the transfer fee of $75.00, the following: the extended warranty agreement number, vehicle identification, mileage, make and model of the vehicle, date of sale of the vehicle, and the name and address of both yourself and the new owner of the covered vehicle. This extended warranty agreement may not be assigned to a new or used car dealership or anyone other than an individual person purchasing your car. Copies of maintenance records must be obtained from the original owner by the new owner of the covered vehicle.
