Back pain

PEC offers services for:

Back pain is caused by the downward pull of gravity as one is standing in an erect position; this causes wear and tear and pressure on the vertebrae and strains the back’s abdominal muscles. In addition, subjecting the back to unnecessary jolts, twists and pressures injure the already weakened back muscles and causes the spinal alignment to be off.

Whiplash is an injury that occurs when the neck is whipped backward then forward (hyper-extension and hyper-flexion). This injury can transpire if the body is thrown forward from an accident or even a stumble. Rear-end collisions are the most common type of auto accident that causes whiplash; this causes strains and tears of the muscles, ligaments, and soft tissue of the neck and can injure the cervical spine.

Chronic Pain is the third major health problem in America, following heart disease and cancer. Anyone that deals with chronic pain usually spends a great deal of money trying to cope with it. It is very difficult to determine if the pain that you are experiencing is chronic; the person suffering is usually under and/or over treated, misdiagnosed, or their symptoms are ignored altogether. If you are experiencing this type of pain then chiropractic care can produce great results.

Auto accidents

Auto accidents are one of the major reasons to seek chiropractic care. There are two different types of accidents that produces different injures; low-velocity and high-velocity. The most common injuries caused by low-velocity accidents are muscle strains, seat belt bruises, and shaken brain syndrome. These injures can be recognized within 12 to 36 hours after the accident has happened exhibiting stiffness and pain. Shoulder, head, and knee hematomas, wrist fractures, neck sprains, concussions and contusions are the common injures caused by a high-velocity accident; these injures are evident immediately.
