| This footing for the water tower
was placed on the soft bearing clays. In order to place grout
directly under the footing, the footing had to be excavated.
We then used an air drill to drill through the footing. Grout
injection pipes were driven approximately 12 feet below the
footing pad and pumped at 1 foot intervals to the bottom of
the footing pad. We injected 3,500 psi grout under the footing
pad to stabilize the footing. |

Before Pressure Grouting
|
After Pressure Grouting
|
Once a foundation begins to settle, some walls have
a tendency to develop stress cracks. With the use of the pressure
grouting method, it is possible to bring the sagging foundation
back to its original elevation. In some cases, cracks which developed
in the walls may even be repaired.
