History of Nashville Office Interiors

When Nashville Office Interiors (NOI) was formed in 1935, buying furniture was very simple. Your choice was usually black or gray. Originally NOI was called Nashville Stationery Company and specialized in printing and office supplies.

Over the decades, emphasis shifted from supplies and letterheads to more concentration on furnishings, decor, and space planning. Office systems designed to accommodate a number of employees in a limited area and to provide flexibility of rearrangement became the logical choice for a changing business world.

NOI met this change by adding a team of interior designers to its staff to assist in these special needs. To better reflect its professionalism in the space planning and esthetics in work environments, Nashville Stationery changed its name to Nashville Office Interiors in January of 1981.

Hershel Peppers became the sole owner in 1988. NOI leased 15,000 square feet of warehouse space to evolve with the changing demands of being a Haworth dealer. Proving to be strong, sales increased and we became one of twenty-five preferred Haworth dealers in the world. Today NOI is family owned and operated by three generations and 110 employees that continue adapting to the changing demands of the contract furniture industry. Our dedication company wide rewards us with large contracts and high annual sales. In Nashville there is 11,000 square feet of office and showroom space, 50,000 square feet of warehouse space, totaling 120,000 square feet state wide in three metropolitan cites: Nashville, Memphis, and Chattanooga. Of course, NOI continues to maintain a complete office supply division capable of providing the businessperson with everything from a desk calendar to a sophisticated filing system.
