Procedures for Emergencies or Disasters
All oxygen patients will be contacted as soon as the emergency or disaster has been reported. In case of natural disasters, as time permits, the patient will be contacted at least 48 hours in advance. We will make sure all patients are well equipped with additional portable O2 tanks, regulators, carts, and any other equipment that you may need should they lose power and become unable to utilize their concentrators.
Should the patient not have a prescription for portable O2, we will contact your physician at this time so that there isn’t any inconvenience to the patient. If under any circumstances our office is closed due to an emergency, we will still remain on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
