His medical background includes practicing Anesthesia for 23 years and 10 years in Emergency Room, Family Practice and Alternative medicine. Exposure to all types of surgery and ER medicine produced a vast bank of experience from which he is able to withdraw today. Practicing several types of medicine has allowed him to observe, evaluate and incorporate the most effective treatments toward cure that are available today."
Dr. Wilcoxson entered the "alternative" medical arena in 1994. Moving a step aside from "standard" medicine, new opportunities and knowledge opened up avenues of medical information and research he had not been exposed to up to that time. He has expanded the practice into preventive, restorative, integrative and alternative medicine at New Beginnings Medical Group today.
"I will use my power to heal my fellow man to the best of my judgment; I will abstain from harming or wronging any man by it. I will maintain the utmost respect for human life from the time of its inception." These words are a part of the Oath of Hippocrates which he took as he received his Doctorate of Medicine. For over 33 years Dr. Wilcoxson abides by this oath.
In 1996 he became the director of New Beginnings, a medical practice with a motto of "Treating the cause, not the symptom." Multiple types of treatments are used for chronic and non chronic diseases.
