Christine Barton Byars, 99, died Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at WNC Baptist Home.  A native of Calhoun   County, MS, she was daughter of the late H.D.M. Barton and Ada Lester Barton.

     She is survived by daughter, Anne Rogers (John); grandchildren, Margie Roberts (Alan), Christie Rogers (Clay Brulport), Catherine Votta (Steve), Jay Rogers (Molly); great-grandchildren, Victor Benavente, Rosanna B. Caudle (Shafer), Austin and Graham Rogers, Max and Stephen Votta and great-great-grandson, Boston Caudle.

     A funeral service will be held 11:00AM, Saturday, December 6, 2008 in Calhoun City, Mississippi.

     In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Lewis Memorial United Methodist Church, 111 West Taylor Avenue, Calhoun City, MS  28916
