IRMA MARTHA TREMBLAY



     Irma Martha Tremblay, 75, died Thursday, September 18, 2008 at the Memorial Campus of Missions Hospital.  She was born September 15, 1933 in New York City and raised in Middletown, Conn.   She graduated in 1955 from the Ursuline College of New Rochelle in New York with a B.A. in English and French.  She then worked in administration for AT&T in White Plains, NY until her marriage in 1958 to Larry Tremblay of Springfield, Massachusetts.  His career path with the FAA brought about several U.S. moves.  After Larry retired in 1984, they moved to the Blue Ridge Mountains that they loved.

 

 

     While raising their five children, her love and devotion to family was always evident, in all she did.  Her need to assist others at school and Church will be remembered.  Irma’s love of nature, arts, crafts and beauty are reflected in her sewing and handiwork creations to literacy accomplishments.  She will be remembered and missed by her loving and devoted husband, Larry; two sons, Paul and Thomas; three daughters, Mary, Anne, Janine; and seven grandchildren.

 

 

     The family will receive friends 7:00PM-9:00PM, Monday, September 22, 2008 at Morris Funeral Home, 304 Merrimon Avenue.  A memorial service will be held 1:30PM, Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at St. Eugene’s Catholic Church.  Inurnment will be in the St. Eugene’s Columbarium.
