Elizabeth Lewis Yandle died Thursday, September 11, 2008 at Life Care Center of Hendersonville.  A native of Charlotte, NC, she was raised in Asheville, daughter of the late Horace Reginald and Monie Ridenour Lewis.

     A graduate of UNC Greensboro, she received her Masters Degree from Appalachian State University and later taught school in Asheville, NC.  Liz was active in many community groups; she was especially involved with Meals on Wheels.  She was a member of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church. 

     She is survived by a son, David L. Yandle of California; sisters, Ruth Rudisill and her husband, George and Mary Hutton; brother, Reginald Lewis; nieces and nephews.

     A memorial service will be held 11:00AM, Thursday, September 18, 2008 at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church with The Rev. Brent Norris officiating.
