Elizabeth “Jackie” Cunningham, 87, died Friday, May 9, 2008 after a lingering illness.  She was a very active member of Grace Episcopal Church and loved gardening and the outdoors.  Jackie was involved in volunteer and charity work especially with ABCCM. 

She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Charles “Charlie” Cunningham.

She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law: Charles “Chuck” Cunningham of Afton, VA and Jim and Kathy Cunningham of Charlotte, NC; one daughter, Elizabeth “Betty” Cunningham of Asheville; a brother, Albert “Cush” Cushing Read Jr. of Big Pine Key, FL; and one granddaughter, Julia Cunningham of Asheville.

A special thanks to the Chandler family especially Lora, for their loving devotion and attentive care to our mother.

A Memorial service will be held on Friday, May 16, 2008 at 2:00 PM at Grace Episcopal Church with the Rev. Gary Coffey officiating.  A reception will held in the Social Hall immediately following the service.
