Frances Michael Miller, 95, of Asheville, NC died Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at Aston Park Health Care Center. She was the daughter of the late Frank & Lena Carrigan Michael.
She was a life long member of Central United Methodist Church of Asheville, a graduate of UNC Greensboro and a dedicated school teacher at the Claxton & Randolph Elementary schools. She also enjoyed working and meeting people at the Culberson Studio of photography. She loved her family and is survived by one daughter: Mrs. Frances Norman and her husband Jeff of Enterprise, and 2 grandchildren, Jeffrey Norman and his wife Shannon of Wake Forest and Noelle Norman of Birmingham, AL. She was predeceased by her son John in 2000, her first husband, B.A.”Pop” Culberson in 1975, and her second husband, Sanford Miller who died in 1993. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Morris Funeral Home, 304 Merrimon Ave. on Thursday, May 8th at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Christen Matlick officiating. The burial will follow at Calvary Episcopal churchyard in Fletcher. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Morris Funeral Home.
