Lawrence “Larry” Leland Hux, 54, died April 28, 2008, at Solace Hospice after a lengthy illness.  He is survived by his son William L. Hux of Asheville and a brother Charles G. Hux of Baltimore, Maryland.  He was preceded in death by his father and mother, the Reverend Gordon B. Hux and Mary Nell Hux.

A graduate of W.C.U. and he received his masters degree from U.N.C. Chapel Hill.  A retired Nurse Practitioner and a former member of First Baptist Church of Asheville.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Baltimore, Maryland.
