A graduate of The Ohio State University with a masters degree from Indiana University, joined the Mitchell House staff in 2002. He has a background in television and radio broadcasting with WIS and WOLO. He currently has a daily talk show “Health, Wealth & Happiness.” He has performed over 500 weddings and brings something special to each bride and groom with a perfect performance every time!
A SC native and graduate of USC, opened The Mitchell House in 1992. She was the first in the midlands to offer wedding and event planning at a Full Service location. She invented “The Package” and created a level of service that relieves brides and mothers from the stress of working with many different vendors. Today, The Mitchell House is proud of its long-standing reputation as a premiere location for weddings, receptions, parties and business event – thanks to Phyllis’ personal attention to detail and quality.
Our Wedding Director has sent over 150 brides successfully down the aisle. She’s a published author of a children’s book series and has a background in public media relations, pageant production, and special events coordination. From Greenwood, SC, a USC graduate, she has the southern charm and patience to deal with excited bridal groups. Like a “stage-play” director, she brings all the elements together – lights, music, action – for the perfect wedding.
Our Events Coordinator, brings many elements together to make memorable events time and time again. She has over 17 years experience in restaurant and tourism, and an ability to put the puzzle together and “see the whole picture.” Our bridal parties can relax and enjoy! Jennifer will make sure that everything takes place at the perfect time in the perfect way.
A retiree from SC DSS, has rejoined our staff as a Vice-President of operations. She has been involved in catering and event planning for at least 25 years. Her love is designing cakes and working with the brides. She will be active in all areas of the business and available to help you with all of your event needs.
Our Wedding Consultant, has worked with over 375 brides. She is from Charlotte, NC, and a graduate of USC, with a background in Public Relations and Hospitality Management. At The Mitchell House, she meets with bridal parties and using her calm, unique organizational skills, she leads them through the decision making process. Meredith can advise you about what is appropriate, for any occasion from beginning to end. Once you know that everything is going to be perfect, you can relax and enjoy! You deserve for your day to be blissful!
