Elegant weddings are affordable at The Mitchell House. We don’t charge rental fees to use the house and gardens or for chairs and plates for your guests. We don’t charge for set up, either, and we don’t even charge a gratuity!

Say “I Do” at Our House
Planning a winter or holiday wedding? The spacious, front reception room spans the width of the house and accommodates approximately 100 guests. With two fireplaces and mantles adorned with seasonal decorations, the house itself is a lovely wedding location, too!
During the holidays, our designers transform The Mitchell House into an elegant holiday home. Each room is decorated with a Christmas tree, lights and greenery. So, “come to our house” for your holiday wedding that will make the season extra special for you and your guests.
And, if your dream is Valentine’s-inspired, we’ll help Cupid work his magic for you! The house is decorated for Valentine’s Day from January 5 to March 16 with a romantic Cupid gold and white décor.

Have you dreamed of an outdoor wedding but hesitated because of Mother Nature? The Mitchell House and Gardens is the place for you!
Our covered Garden Pavilion – the only one of its kind in the region – has seating for up to 300 guests. The Garden Pavilion gives brides the beauty of an outdoor wedding and the security of cover. Our colonnade walkway connects to a covered patio. It’s why we can say, “If it rains, we’ve got you covered!” and mean it! You and your guests will remain dry, even if Mother Nature takes a different course! “You won’t have to rent a tent!”
The south lawn features a beautiful Garden Gazebo, which is the perfect spot for a romantic, intimate ceremony up to 100 guests. The Gazebo also provides a charming backdrop for your wedding cake.
