In most civil infractions the defendant does not have to attend court. But, there are some exceptions. Furthermore, in criminal infractions, the Defendant usually has to appear in court.

Will I get points on my license?
That is up to the court. No attorney can guarantee you won’t receive any points, they can only guarantee your money back.

Will I have to attend traffic School?
That is up to the court. No attorney can guarantee that you will not be ordered to traffic school. But, in most cases traffic school is not ordered.
