Welcome to Pre-K 4
In order to keep focused on learning primary colors we ask that you supply only 8 or 10 pack colors. (Primary colors will be removed from larger packs and all odd colors will be sent home or added to our miscellaneous color box.) Experience makes us believe that the children of this age prefer skinny crayons. Please understand that your child will use up and or break crayons. So be prepared to replenish their pack every month or so. You might like to stock up when you see a good sale. We need all supplies as soon as possible, the children are very happy when they get to use their “new stuff”.
Your child is beginning their pre-K4 program this fall. This will begin the time that they focus on classroom readiness and manners. These objectives will aid your child in their ability to follow instructions and to increase recognition of ABC’S and phonic sounds.
A complete schedule of our activities will be provided each month. Please check your child’s folder everyday. This is very important in this class, since we are preparing your child for kindergarten. You must stay informed to know how your child is doing and if there are any specific areas that they might need to have help with. We are looking forward to a wonderful year. Please remember the pre-K4 class’s breakfast time is over at 8:30. For your child not to miss out on any activities you need to have your child at school no later than 8:45.
Thank you for your cooperation.
