Q. What are the services provided by Mountainview Chem-Dry?

A: Besides carpet cleaning, Mountainview Chem-Dry offers a wide range of cleaning services, including area rugs and upholstery cleaning.  We have specialty products for tough problems, such as pet urine odor and red stain removal. We also offer tile and stone cleaning and leather cleaning, repair and restoration. 

 Q. Are the products used by Chem-Dry safe and non-toxic?

A: Yes.  They are generally recognized as safe and non-toxic.  Since young children and pets are on the carpets most often, it is safe for them. 

Q. Do you use water?

A: Yes we do but because our solution is effervescent, we can use much less water than traditional steam cleaners.  In fact, we use about 10% of the water as other carpet cleaning companies.

Q. Other carpet cleaners leave my carpets wet for a day or two.  What about Chem-Dry?

A: Because we use about 1/10 of the water used by other companies, your carpets should be dry in 1-2 hours instead of 1-2 days.  This benefits you in two ways.  First, you can get back on your carpets sooner.  Second, since your carpets dry in 1-2 hours, it prevents against mold, which can start to form in wet carpets and padding within 4 hours depending on the conditions.  With our faster drying time, this problem is virtually eliminated.

Q. With other cleaners, the carpets look O.K. when they leave but the dirt seems to come back fast.  Why does this happen?

A: Most shampoos and cleaning solutions either have a lye (soap) base or an oil base to them depending on the type of dirt you are trying to clean.  The dirtier the carpet, the more solution seems to get used.  The problem is that if any of the soapy residue is left behind, and there usually is to some degree, the residue will re-attract to your carpets.  The Chem-Dry all natural effervescent solution leaves NO soapy residue behind, so your carpets stay cleaner longer.

Q. How long does it take to get an appointment?

A: Not long at all, usually within a couple of days.  If you are looking for a morning appointment, it is best to schedule a week in advance, since these time slots fill the fastest.
