SALES ASSOCIATE

JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsible for superior customer service, merchandising and sales performance.
Knowledge of company�s mission, purpose, goals and the role of employment in achieving them.
Greet and acknowledge customers in a friendly manner and provide quick, responsive customer service.
Maintain and achieve sales budget and goals.
Maintain and achieve personal sales and transaction goals along with customer service standards as established by company guidelines.
Maintain general housekeeping and merchandising standards and replenish sales floor as merchandise is sold.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS

Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts such as adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing, and acknowledgement of weight and measures
Understand and respond appropriately to basic customer needs
Read, write and communicate using the English language sufficient to perform job functions
Ability to process merchandise information through store computer system
Ability to follow instructions
Anticipate, recognize and respond to change with innovative problem solving skills

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

Requires sales experience
Requires experience in a retail setting
Requires background check and drug screen

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to move throughout all areas of the store, including sales floor, stocking area and register area
Must be able to lift and/or move general merchandise. (Not to exceed employee�s capabilities without assistance.)
Stand continuously and perform job functions for a full shift with a meal break
