Welcome
In 1961, a group of determined and spirit-inspired ministers decided to organize a church. At a meeting, headed by Elder Watt Harris, Leon Fraizer and J.C. Green, the name Freewill Church Of God In Christ was given to this Holiness Church.
The term “Free Will” was employed because the leader of this movement wanted the people to know that here they would worship and glorify God completely.
The spirit of the Lord has been with these determined and optimistic Christians. The membership has grown quickly and steadily, and the number of churches has grown from two to nine. The pastors at that time were elder J. C. Green, Hueytown; Elder L. Jones, Overton; Elder E.R. Jones Patterson, Pell City; Elder W. Calhoun, Snow Hill; Elder E. Starks, Grasselli Heights; Elder E. Smith, Harpersville and Elder W. Collins, Lincoln, Alabama.
This body of Christ has surely been blessed and grown through the mighty move of God. In the year of 2007, there are nine Churches in various located to minister to the Body of Christ.

For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. That is deceiver and an antichrist. Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward. Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the father and the Son. If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him god speed: For he biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.
