Q: I’m a Fitness Connection member in Houston – what’s changing for me?
A: Not much, actually. Your existing membership and benefits won’t change, but we will be adding several new locations throughout North Carolina and Nevada. When your membership does change, you’ll be getting much more than right now – so stay tuned for our big announcement this September!
Q: I’ve been a Gold’s Gym member for years. What’s changing for me?
A: Your membership rate, services and local gym team members will stay exactly the same. Titan Fitness, the same company that owns these stores will continue to manage them. Besides that, very little is going to change from an administrative standpoint. Along with our name changing from Gold’s Gym to Fitness Connection you will see a new key tag to check in, a new website, new Facebook and Twitter pages and best of all, the introduction of new equipment as well as physical plant upgrades. We are replacing your Gold’s Gym travel pass (which gives you rights to use some Gold’s Gyms outside a 50 mile radius of our locations) with the IHRSA Passport program (more below).
Q: Why are you changing the name to Fitness Connection, anyway?
A: Our new name, Fitness Connection, represents our company’s desire to be more than a fitness company and to focus more on the holistic approach to our member’s health.
Q: Will I still be able to use other Gold’s Gyms?
A: You will be able to continue to use all the gyms that our company owns under the Fitness Connection name. These facilities are located in the following areas:
Additionally, our company has enrolled in the IHRSA Passport program that will allow the members to use health clubs throughout the world by either paying a discount of 50% or more, or, even free depending on the health clubs policies. IHRSA has over 9,000 health clubs as members so you will have a large selection of health clubs to choice from as you travel. A large number of Gold's Gyms participate in this program; therefore, you will have access to those facilities.
Q: Will I need a new membership card?
A: Yes. By the end of July, our staff will be handing out new membership cards.
Q: When can we expect to see new equipment and upgrades?
A: Over the next 120 days, you will see these changes based on the specific needs at each of our Fitness Connection locations.
Q: Will my insurance or company pay program change?
A: No, that program will not change. We will be notifying our corporate and insurance company participants of the changes but the program will continue.

Facilities, Services, and Amenities vary by location.
