Testimonials

Monica,
Oh, my! The recital was absolutely wonderful. Having danced all my life in a small but very professional studio, I have longed for Mary Beth to be a part of something so special and now I am confident she is. I appreciate and applaud your efforts to keep ballet at the center of all dance. I want you to know I'm your cheerleader when it comes to keeping ballet principles first!

I was thrilled to hear about the New York trips. I went with my dance teacher, Dorothy Sellars, and spent three of the most memorable weeks of my life dancing, sightseeing, doing Broadway and the museums. I can't wait to share that experience with Mary Beth.

Thank you so much for your time, effort and love of the art. You have turned the school into something the city of Pelham should be very proud of, this mom sure is!
Sincerely,

Karen Snyder

Mrs. Monica,
Thank you so much for everything! I've had so much fun this year. You've given me so many opportunities! I've really enjoyed the people and performances. You are like a second mother and I will always cherish you in my heart.
All my love,

Michelle

Dear Mrs. Monica,
Thank you so much for all of the opportunities you've given me. I appreciate your kindness and generosity this year. You are the best I have ever taken lessons from! Just look at how far I've come over the years! I owe all of my talent to you! You have helped me so much, whether it be looking for a tap shoe or taking me home. You always come through as a wonderful person. I hope I will continue dancing with you over the years.
Thank you,

Juliette

Monica and staff,
Thank you so very much for the fabulous summer workshop. With your own inspiring classes, no wonder you are Birmingham's own true ballerina! Personally, I have learned and loved being with your beautiful students and teachers. Jose Traba's variation class was exquisite. Stanislas Issaev's class was a gift from God. It was truly a privilege to walk on the same floor as such an artist. I seriously think these gifted individuals are a reflection of you and your staff. Again, thank you.
Fondly,

Cindy

Dear Monica,
I wanted to write you a letter because I sometimes find it easier to express myself in writing. This is not an attempt to be formal, but an attempt to be organized with my thoughts.

Jerry and I want to express our appreciation to you and your staff for all you have done for Meredith during the past year. We have seen her improve and her love of dance strengthened. You and Tiffany were very considerate in allowing Meredith to participate in the recital without being at rehearsal. I know that this breaks a "standard" rule of performance, but we realize that you put Meredith's interests above a rule. For that, we are grateful. The recital was a wonderful event. After being a part of recitals at other studios for five years, I can honestly say that it was refreshing to see an end of year performance tailored to the students.

Throughout the year, Jerry and I have observed you demanding the best from your students and not allowing them to get by with mediocrity. We, as parents, are very supportive of the way you push your students to excellence. You never approach them in a negative way, but you don't allow them to give half-hearted efforts either. We are also supportive of the emphasis you place on your students competing with themselves rather than each other. I have observed you correcting students due to inappropriate attitudes regarding superiority.

Our children are our most important gifts and we take very seriously the activities and the people that work with them. We have made the decision to pull Meredith from her other studio and put her totally in your tutorage. We, as well as Meredith, are very pleased with our decision and feel that not only are you the most qualified, but you are the most compatible with our personal beliefs and goals.

We are very excited about the opportunities for Meredith to grow and perform in the future. I feel that you are already aware that we will support you and Meredith in any way we can. Thank you!

Mary Martha Harvey
