Introduction
| We believe our success has been a result of offering quality
dance training in a warm but professional environment. In our
endeavor to provide quality dance instruction, our staff continues
to study and update themselves in the ever-changing field of
dance. We offer a diversity of dance classes, accepting dancers
from 3 years old to the young at heart. We offer our students
a unique opportunity by giving them a choice in deciding their
future in the dance area. Our program is divided into two areas,
recreational dance classes in all disciplines; ballet, jazz
and tap. But for those students who may be looking to pursue
dance professionally or to enhance their dance skills for school
activities such as majorette or dance team members, we offer
a program of intense dance in all disciplines. |

child. We strive to give each student personal attention, encouragement
and motivation with which to build a good self esteem. Whether
you're looking for recreational dance classes or interested
in taking your dance ability or your child's dance ability to
the next level, we have the program for you. |

Owner-Artistic Director, Monica Barnett Smith, heads our studio. Monica
graduated with honors and received her Bachelor of Arts in Dance and English
at the University of Alabama in Birmingham. She studied under Stevan and
Melanie Grebel and preformed as a Principal Dancer with Ballet UAB. She
also studied under Sonia Arova and preformed as a Principal Dancer with
The Alabama Ballet. Monica remains involved with the Alabama Ballet by sitting
on the Board of Directors. As a founding member of the Alabama Ballet Ambassadors,
Monica continues to raise awareness of ballet and the arts to the people
of Alabama.
