What kind of apartments
or homes are you renting?
There a many different kinds of apartments that you can rent including studios,
one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and larger apartments. For homes, there are two common
types of house: Single and multi-family homes.
Does the property come furnished?
Depending on location, apartments may be available for rent furnished
with furniture or unfurnished into which a tenant usually moves in
with their own furniture. Most properties come with a furnished kitchen
including all appliances. It is very important to ask before you view
the property.
Do you have a laundry facilities and/or washer and dryer hook-ups?
For apartments, laundry facilities may be found in a common area accessible
to all the tenants in the building, or each apartment may have its
own machines. For homes, it is important to find out before you sign
your lease what types of machines can be used in the home. The
two types of washer and dryers that can be used in most homes are gas or
electric.
Rental leases
It is very important to read your lease and ask questions about it. Your
lease is a legal document that is an agreement between the renter and
owner of the property.

Utilities such as water, heating, and electricity- Connection to telephone lines
- Parking spaces
- Air conditioning
- Extra storage space
- Garbage pick-up
