Dr.
Card is a native of Raleigh, where he graduated from Broughton
High School in 1972. He then attended N.C. State University
where he was very active in many clubs and organizations, graduating
with many honors in 1976. He attended the University of North
Carolina School of Dentistry in Chapel Hill graduating and receiving
licensure in 1980. That same year, he started practicing dentistry
in an associateship in Franklinton, N.C. where he practiced
for four and one half years. In January, 1985, Dr. Card started
his practice in Raleigh. He has been in his new office location
since December, 1990.
Dr. Card is a member of the American Dental Association, the North Carolina Dental Society, the Raleigh-Wake County Dental Society, and is a Fellow in the Academy of
General Dentistry, the Academy of Dentistry International, the American College of Dentists and International College of Dentists. Dr. Card served as President of the N.C. Academy of General Dentistry, the N.C. Fourth District Dental Society, the U.N.C. Dental Alumni Association, and as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the N.C. Dental Society. He has served as a Deputy Examiner for the N.C. State Board of Dental Examiners, on The Dental Care Council for the National Academy of General Dentistry, and as a
Delegate to the American Dental Association. Dr. Card is serving as President of the N.C. Dental Society for the year 2006.
He regularly attends many seminars and continuing education courses.
Dr.
Card is married and has two children. Over the past several
years, he has been very active in many church, civic, and community
activities. His hobbies include golf, fishing, and hunting.
