Double
R History
The Double
R Private School is nestled on a tree-lined, 10-acre campus in
S.E. Seminole County. This peaceful country atmosphere provides
the perfect setting for nurturing of academic and social growth.
Ted and Brenda Reichle opened a one-room preschool in September
1974. The following year the school expanded to provide a summer
day camp for area children. As the Oviedo/Chuluota/Geneva area
grew, so did the demand for private education. The Double R Private
School responded by constructing a 3-room preschool building in
1986. Subsequently, the initial kindergarten and first grade classes
began in the fall of 1987. During the next 10 years the school
expanded to include grades 2-4 and a middle school of grades 5,
6, 7, and 8. More recently, a media center, including a computer
lab and library, was added on campus, as well as an all purpose
gym/activity center. Future plans include additional primary classrooms.

Philosophy
The
Double R Private School's academic
program stresses traditional teaching methods which produce energetic
and motivated students. New and innovative techniques are incorporated
into the pattern of traditional methodology. The Double
R Private School emphasizes structure and self-discipline both in and out of the classroom, and a small class ratio. this, along with an innovative staff and parental involvement, provide the framework for the success of our students. The Double
R Private School has an open admission policy, and family
interviews are required before registration. |
