DESIGNER'S WEARABLE ART SHOWCASED

Doris McLendon is locally known for her jewelry and customer service, but few are familiar with her unique display of jewelry by famous jewelry designer Paula Crevoshay.

Crevoshay's jewelry designs can be found in the collections of museums, including the Smithsonian Institute, as well as adorning many famous jewelry collectors.

Crevoshay has created pieces for Paula Zahn, Carly Simon, and began creating pieces for Jacqueline Onassis Kennedy just before her death.

Crevoshay and McLendon became friends through another jeweler, and McLendon invited Crevoshay to show her work in her old location. The show went well, and the two stayed in touch.

When McLendon moved to her location near The Fresh Market in Germantown, Crevoshay enthusiastically wanted to have another show.

McLendon hosted her second Paula Crevoshay show in December. It was a raving success.

Crevoshay brought her Lalique and Faberge creations to the Memphis area, where creations like Crevoshay's are a rarity. She believes these designs bring beauty, hope, and healing to the wearer. She uses fine gemstones and ancient metal techniques to create one-of-a-kind, wearable works of art.

Crevoshay and McLendon have a relationship that surpasses business. Their love for gemstones created a special friendship between the two.

Friday and Saturday are the scheduled dates for the next show. For more information, call 685-9270.
