Disc Problems
The Cox Technique is a non-aggressive decompression technique which is effective for reducing disc problems. This technique has been proven effective by using pre-and post-M.R.I.’s which regularly revealed an improvement in the position of the intervertebral disc after treatments. The unique feature of the Cox Technique in comparison to the recently highly advertised decompression disc machines is that the Cox Technique utilizes the doctors ability to adjust the tension of the procedure 100% of the treatment time, due to the fact that the doctors hands never leave the patients spine, which allows the doctor to make constant changes in the resistive force of the procedure as well as being able to constantly change the amount of force which is tractioning the lower part of the patients body, as opposed to a predetermined fixed setting for the machines, that may be too much or too little.
The cost factor of this technique is even lower than the cost of the prior mentioned newer machines that attempt to accomplish the same results, because the cost of these newer machines are enormous and obviously have to be passed on to the patient. It is my opinion that while these newer machines are useful, they are not nearly as productive as the Cox Technique.
