The Literacy Volunteers of Atlanta (LVA) has named Walt McGlawn, Principal, as a Board Director effective June 1, 2007. The mission of this organization is to increase adult and family literacy to enhance the lives of individuals in their roles as family members, workers and citizens through the power of literacy. Founded in 1986, LVA is one of approximately 1200 certified affiliates of ProLiteracy Worldwide, which is headquartered in New York.
Shawn Menefee, Principal, has accepted the role as Chairman of the Georgia Minority Supplier Development Council, Inc. (GMSDC) Staffing Group. The GMSDC’s mission is to foster and expand mutually beneficial economic opportunities between certified minority business enterprises (MBEs), corporations and government entities within the state of Georgia and to help build a stronger, more equitable society by supporting and promoting minority business development. GMSDC is a non-profit organization established in 1976 as a regional office of the National Minority Supplier Development Council.
