Cindy Floyd has practiced law in Charleston, SC since 1987. A native South Carolinian, Cindy moved to Charleston in 1973 and lives on Johns Island with her husband, Pete Laurie. They enjoy bird watching and vegetable gardening.
She graduated from Reed College in Portland, Oregon, with a B. A. in Psychology and received her J. D. degree from the University of South Carolina Law School where she was President of the Women's Law Association.
After graduating from law school, she served as law clerk for Judge William T. Howell, former Chief Judge of the South Carolina Court of Appeals, while he was on the Circuit Court.
