Gynecological Services
The GYN Clinic is a walk-in, first come, first served basis. Your estimated office visit will be around one hour. Upon your request, you will be offered a birth control method that will be suitable for you. The check-in time, for an exam, is Tuesday evening from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Our services are highlighted below.
Basic Examination
- Counseling: Included with all services; medical and menstrual history
- Physical: Breast examination (including instructions in breast self examination.), blood pressure, abdominal and pelvic exam
- If taking birth control pills, we will give you 1 free pack with your examination (if available).
- Pap Smears are recommended yearly for Birth Control Pill refills.
STD's Chlamydia Gonorrhea
- Must be an established GYN patient.
- Must be an established AB patient within 6 (six) months of procedure.
Problem Check-Up
- Must be an established GYN patient.
- Must be an established AB patient within 6 (six) months of procedure.
* We recommend that women on birth control have annual pelvic exams; if you are not on birth control or get Depo-Provera Infections, an annual exam is recommended.
Depo-Provera
- "The Injection", 3 month hormonal contraceptive
- Pap Smears are recommended yearly (prior to the last injections)
Pregnancy Testing - UCG URINE
- Urine: 90% accuracy, 14 days after missed menstruation
- MUST bring in a “first morning" urine sample.
Pregnancy Testing - HCG URINE
- Urine: 98% accuracy, 10 days after conception
- MUST bring in a “first morning" urine sample.
Ultrasound
- Patient must arrive with a full bladder
Morning After Pill (ECP)
- The medication must be started within 72 hours of incident
