Frank P. Cantwell, Jr.
Frank P. ("Rusty") Cantwell, Jr., born in Shreveport, Louisiana on January 29, 1946, joined this law firm in 1974 when he was admitted to the Tennessee Bar. In 1976, he was admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee. Rusty received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Vanderbilt University in 1968 and graduated from the University Of Tennessee's College Of Law in 1973. He is a member of the Hamblen County, Tennessee and American Bar Associations. Rusty served in the U. S. Army from 1968 until 1971 at which time he was honorably discharged as a First Lieutenant, Military Intelligence. Rusty concentrates his practice in the areas of corporate law, real estate law, business acquisitions, county governmental, business law, insurance law, wills and estate.
Christopher P. Capps
Born in Morristown on March 5, 1958, Christopher P. (Chris) Capps attended public schools in Morristown before pursuing a Bachelor Of Arts degree at Centre College in Danville, Kentucky for two years. After transferring to the University of Tennessee, Chris received his degree in Political Science in 1980. Admitted to practice in 1983 after receiving his law degree from the University of Tennessee's College of Law, he spends much of his time litigating in the areas of domestic relations and personal injury law. Mr. Capps also devotes a significant portion of his time to litigating real property and construction law issues. He was admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee in 1986 and is a member of the Tennessee and American Bar Association. Chris currently serves as a hearing officer for Tennessee's Board of Professional Responsibility.
David S. Byrd
David was born in Jefferson City, Tennessee on September 19, 1969. He attended Carson Newman College in Jefferson City where he graduated Cum Laude in 1991. After obtaining his Juris Doctor degree from the University Of Tennessee's College Of Law in 1994, he is associated with the law firm of Capps, Cantwell, Capps & Byrd, being named a partner in 1999. David is engaged in civil trial practice with emphasis in the areas of domestic relations, personal injury, real estate and collections. Currently, David is licensed to practice in all state courts in the State of Tennessee, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee, and the United States Circuit Court for the Sixth Circuit.
