Dr. David Hill hosts first regional meeting of North Carolina Pediatric Society

Event May 9th brings together pediatricians from Southeastern North Carolina
|
Pediatricians from throughout southeastern North Carolina gathered at the Riverside Hilton May 9th to meet with NCPS President Dr. Marian Earls and Executive Director Steve Shore. The event, organized and hosted by Dr. David Hill, gave local pediatricians an opportunity to learn how the statewide organization is advocating for children's health. Leaders of local organizations including Easter Seals/UCP, Smart Start, Child Advocacy Parenting Place Exchange Clubs of Wilmington, and the Children's Developmental Services Agency presented information on the services they offer children. Dr. Edgar Horger of Seaside Pediatrics and Dr. Hill spoke about the impact of the proposed Titan cement plant on children's health. The event was so successful the NCPS is planning on making it an annual occurrence.
