Are you tired of circling back to the pharmacy an hour after you drop off a new prescription? Thanks to SureScripts, the nation's largest network linking pharmacies and physicians' offices electronically, you can now save time, gas, and frustration. Providers at Cape Fear Pediatrics can now send patients' prescriptions through SureScripts' secure electronic network to nearly every pharmacy in southeastern North Carolina, as well as many that are more distant. In most cases this means minimizing the wait to pick up your child's medication at the pharmacy. The only exceptions for now are controlled substances like Ritalin or Valium, for which the DEA has not yet finalized electronic prescribing protocols.
