About Dr. Charkoudian
Dr. Robert Brownlow is delighted to announce the association of Leon Charkoudian, MD with Cape Fear Retinal Associates. Dr. Charkoudian is board certified in ophthalmology, and is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Retinal Specialists. He received his Bachelor of Science degree at Cornell University as a double major in biology and chemistry. His medical school training was at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, and his ophthalmology residency training was at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr Charkoudian recently completed a two-year vitreoretinal fellowship at the Emory Eye Center in Atlanta.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Charkoudian loves to play guitar and spend time with his wife, Nicole, and their first daughter, Sarah.
